Mr. Kasun Weerakkody is a Chartered Engineer & Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers (Sri Lanka). He has been in the Information & Communication Technology sector for 25 years and possesses vast experience in system design and development, telecommunication regional sales, outside plant operation, and managing technical operations. He joined the SLT group in 2001 and has gained various sectional experience including 9 years of experience in the Directory business. He was in the inception of SLT Digital Services and has contributed greatly in the company’s digital transformation initiatives.
Kasun has local and overseas work experience in government, education, gaming, and software services industries. He holds an MBA from the University of Colombo, MSc in Computer Science from UCSC, BSc in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, and a couple of Diplomas in Management, Digital Marketing, and Information Technology. He is a Chartered IT Professional, and a member of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka and the British Computer Society.
